Merano was great, however it was marred by our accommodation which was underneath another apartment undergoing constant noisy renovations, and we had to check out two days early with no refund from our unhospitable host.

The tourist season in the city is mainly between April and November, so some restaurants/bars are open for limited time, but this is specific to the city as a whole. But still there are a huge number of stores that are open and having sales.
The city is very charming and beautifully situated. Typical for rest and light physical activity.

Merano is an amazing place with an incredible Spa, especially if you take advantage of the sauna area. Countless good restaurants available everywhere you look. The botanical garden at Trauttmansdorff is well worth a visit; allow enough time to enjoy it properly. Meran2000 is a must do for outdoorsy people. It's a bit upscale. Lots of fancy shops and stores. You can go swimming in the river upstream aways there's a swimming hole that can be seen from the Torre delle Polveri. Go to the Forst Biergarten restaurant. It was so good I ate there three times.

Small city close to the mountains, crossed by a river.
Small city close to the mountains, crossed by a river. Very nice walking paths next to the river, where you can also find restaurants, bars and ice-cream shops. Also two main streets full of shops and also eating/drinking opportunities. Very easy to get around, all within walking distance.
Merano Hotels are all quite pricey. So we found this hotel a bit away from the oldtown centre. but this was a very positive surprise! Hotel facilities are very user friendly, balcony facing to the Alps, so quiet to here only birds chirping. Bathroom especially the show area is big. The entire room is very clean. A good restaurant is only 3 minutes walking distance, but the hotel dinner is also very good. The best is the breakfast, various options and very home style. Love this Hotel SO Much! We will be back in Summer for some Alps Hikings.
Super nice appartment in the calm area surrounded by pine trees
Enough space for 2 or 3 people. In summer you can use a nice terrace
Box for the car attached to the building
5 min from Terme and in summer just has a view on the open area of Terme
Margit is a great host, met us and explained everything
We got coffee, tea and biscuits :) plus a ticket for transportation.
Everything was just perfect: the clear and detailed explanations of the owner how to get to the apartment, how to check-in and the possibility to park a small car. Location is amazing – in the heart of the city. The room itself and the shared bathroom and kitchen were clean and well equiped. In our view this appartment offers an excellent price-quality ratio for Merano.
Very good location, very nice room, good breakfast but mostly a very good owner. Jacqueline was incredible. She helped us with everything : parking tickets, information and even restaurant recommendation and reservation. It's a very warm person, I would always recommend her. We loved the stay in Merano also due to her.
The staff of the hotel always go above and beyond making us feel very welcome. Even offering drinks by the rooftop pool. The room is nice and came with a welcome package. The saunas and pools are heated and very nice. The breakfast and included dinner was very nice with many options.
the interior of the apartment is impressive. There is a lot of space inside. Parking space is very close to the second entrance to the apartment. Great location. Very close to the city center, there is a shop and restaurant nearby. Peaceful neighborhood
apartment is very clean and very good for the price I doubt that you can get a better place with that price i recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit merano the owners are very kind and respectful and never bothered me for anything
Perched above Merano hotel offers incredible views and an excellent cuisine. Staff very welcoming and efficient.

The hotel couldn’t be better located. The staff at reception are friendly and accommodating,
the breakfast is wonderful (with a big variety), rooms are spacious, but outdated.
Good taste modern decoration through out the hotel facilities.
heated swimming pool, and Nice relaxing area.
Good and confortable rooms.
near to merano 2000.
Good breakfast
The best thing regarding this hotel is its location. Few steps from the spa and all the nice things in Merano. Also it has a superb breakfast considering the price.
Great spacious suite and very clean! tasteful design. Also breakfast is really great… And of course the restaurant is a must to experience during your stay!
