The breakfast was very good with lots of selections. My wife and I enjoyed relaxing and looking at the mountains and castles in the distance.
The saunas, steam rooms, relaxation rooms, and pools were so nice that we didn't even want to leave the property.

The owners are very nice. The apartment was so clean, you probably could have eaten off the floors. They served a wonderful breakfast every morning, best of all, I woke up to the view of Neuschwanstein every morning out our window. The location is spectacular, 5 minutes away from the castle.

We stayed in Füssen for one night.
We stayed in Füssen for one night.
We spent the next day visiting the castle. There were a lot of tourists, and the tickets for the castle were booked out.
We came to show the kids, but probably wouldn’t have gone to the top if it was just my husband and I.
Lots of overpriced gift shops, and very much geared for tourism…

Beautiful hiking trails.
Beautiful hiking trails. You can walk to town and Neuschwanstein if you are in good shape. Much better than trying to find parking. Beautiful views. I would recommend going late in the evening as there is not that many tourists.

Neuschwanstein is without a doubt one of the most beautiful castles in the world. We stayed for a day to visit both castles, but wished we had stayed longer to see more of the nature around it as well.

It's in a fantastic location and is very peaceful and relaxing. There is a lot to see, not least the castles built by King Ludwig. There are also many lovely walks to take and it's ideal for cycling, as there are lots of cycle tracks. There are lots of superb hotels to chose from, all in good locations and plenty of good restaurants and cafes. The mountains around are beautiful, and one of them has a Tegelbahn (cable car) at the top of which is a very good restaurant and a place for people to hang glide down to the valley below. There are also lots of walks up there with amazing views. Schwangau is close to the town of Fussen, which is well worth a visit and is at the border with Austria. There is also a lake, Forggensee, where there are regular boat trips.

Perfect location for visiting the castles and for hiking.
Perfect location for visiting the castles and for hiking. Gorgeous scenery. We enjoyed a walk to the lake in the evening at the sunset. Getting around Schwangau is easy both by car and by public transport.
Excellent location right on the lake and in walking distance to restaurants. Hotel offered a variety of rentals (i.e.SUP, Kayak and bikes (E-Bikes/city bikes) and more which was great to explore the area. Free public transport was available to all main attractions which was very convenient in order to get around. Plenty of tourist information material offered. The overall location was just ideal for walks, hikes, biking, swimming and offered magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Also great for kids (a pony stable) is nearby:-)
Host communication was excellent, and they even washed and dried two loads of washing for us for a small fee, meaning we had more time to relax and enjoy the area. It is a beautiful location, with a walk through snowy fields taking about 20mins to the lower carpark of Neuschwanstein Castle. The supermarket was a 5min drive away, so very convenient, without having to go into Fussen. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommended.
We had a very pleasant stay at casa Patrizia and would love to stay there again another time. The host was very easy to get in touch via text message, the place is very well located nearby Neuschwanstein castle and we had an amazing view from the balcony over the castle at sunset.
It was very convenient to be able to prepare our own meals.
The bedroom was very confortable (we had two but only used one) and everything was very clean.
Best location for hiking around the lake and for an early-morning visit to the castles
Clean and quiet rooms
Excellent location just by the lake
My room overviewed a mountainside, birds were chirping, i could see the castle looking out of my window!
Breakfast was very good, great variety
One could walk to Füssen on foot for fun or take a 5-min taxi (good sports outlet there!)
Nice restaurants by the hotel to have dinner at
We booked a room with a view. Oh what a view! Neuschwanstein Castle with snow falling on it. The hotel was going to be closed for their Christmas Party the night we arrived. They had been communicating with me via Booking.com Messenger. I was a bit concerned it but it worked out just fine. Our welcome letter was in German (but Google translate helped with that). The room was great and the breakfast was wonderful.
The location allowed us to walk to both Füssen and to the castles and not have to deal with parking. The water pressure and temperature was perfect. The size of the room was generous, especially for a German hotel. The breakfast was hearty (bread basket, meat & cheese plate, butter, jelly, meat & cheese spreads, hard boiled eggs, coffee and tea. Loved chatting with our host at breakfast.
The room was exactly as pictured and met our needs. The view was outstanding, and easy getting to the castle shuttles and local bus stops. Way better value than the hotels right around the corner, that didn't have our view! We spent hours on the wrap around deck looking at the gorgeous castles and surrounding greenery.
The property stayed true to its branding as a boutique hotel - very chic and it made us feel at home. Our room was superb! Room amenities were complete and it had a fantastic view of the Neuschwanstein Castle. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! I wish we stayed longer.
The location was great, can see NEUSCHWANSTEIN castle view from the hotel, and 1.8km to the ticket center.
Good to stay one night before visit the castles.
Staff are friendly and kind, breakfast is average.
There are swings and sandbox for kids to play.
We really enjoyed our stay at Landhotel Guglhupf. Location is very good for visiting the castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Rooms are super clean and the breakfast is all home made and very delicious.
Bus from the hotel to Fussen connected to the two castles which were our focus for the visit. Breakfast was good and hearty and included hot and cold selections. Views of the Neuschwanstein castle both day and night were wonderful.
Free parking in front of the hotel. Spacious room with balcony. Delicious breakfast and high quality of food in the restaurant for dinner. Great location within 5 minutes driving distance from the castles.
Wonderful historical hotel with modern room design. Walking distance to the castle. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. We loved hotel wellness and sauna. We would recommended this hotel.
They had a place available at the last second when our hotel though 4 children was 4 babies and wouldn’t accommodate all of us. It was clean and worked well for our circumstance.
Breakfast items were varied and good. The room was on the smaller side. The location was great - near the castles and Fussen, Lots of restaurants nearby.
